We’re celebrating a monumental step toward empowering and enriching lives in Chester Township, New Jersey! A groundbreaking redevelopment contract has been signed, enabling us to advance on its promise to create a 12-unit, affordable housing complex for adults with special needs in the community.
The signing allows Rose House to take control of the 14.7-acre property and facilitate financial support through local philanthropy and federal grants. The site is located at 345 State Route 24, formerly the Glenlora Nursing Home.
When people now drive or walk past the site, they will see a “Future Forever Home” sign. It will reassure the public that a beautiful new housing project is coming soon to their town after decades of viewing an abandoned site.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2027. Upon completion, a dozen residents with special needs will enjoy a comfortable and unique housing experience.
Rose House will provide each resident with his or her own bathroom, kitchen, patio, and other amenities while gaining social interaction with their peers. Staff will be on-site 24/7 to provide individualized care and transportation to jobs, medical appointments, and fun events.
