Congratulations to Beau for his dedication to his career and for making Rose House proud! He recently earned the Employee of the Month Award from Employment Horizons!
“Beau is a person committed to everything he does and works hard to improve the quality of all the tasks he participates in every day,” said his supervisor, Viviana Aguirre. “He sees life positively and has a smile for everyone at Employment Horizons. I’m glad to be his supervisor because I have seen his progress, and this should be recognized.”
Employment Horizons provides job training and placement services to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment in the greater Morris County, NJ area. Beau handles various tasks including cleaning and wrapping wires and power packs, plus repackaging and labeling goods. According to Aguirre, Beau enjoys any job he’s given, but he especially likes to test ethernet cables.
Beau lives at Rose House’s Hanover Community Residence, which houses 12 residents. He also belongs to the Independent Living Program where residents handle most of their day-to-day activities. In this program, caregivers provide support by perfecting current life skills and helping develop and use new skills.
