Shannon from Rose House's Diane Bloom Group Home in Budd Lake, NJ

Welcome, Shannon, to Your New Forever Home!

Rose House is happy to announce its newest resident! Shannon is comfortably living in her new forever home, the Diane Bloom Group Home in Budd Lake, NJ. She now shares a cozy house with three other female housemates.

Shannon comes from a family of animal lovers. At one time, they had six Scottish Terriers; her favorite was “Spooky.” Shannon also enjoyed helping her mother take care of a fox that was sick with mange and had taken refuge on the family’s porch. They nursed it back to health with medicine, chicken, and dog kibble.

Although her forever home can’t have living animals, Shannon has numerous stuffed animals. Her favorite is a gorilla that she brings with her everywhere she goes.

Shannon loves to spend her time reading about dinosaurs and playing games. Her favorites are Uno, Junior Monopoly, and Sequence.

Being on the autism spectrum, Shannon is naturally not a fan of loud noises or sudden hugs. However, she is very friendly and has been known to approach people in stores with questions like, “How are you?”, What’s your name?”, and “Where are you from?”
