Rose House welcomes Laura and Michael to their forever homes

Welcome New Residents, Laura and Michael!

We’re thrilled to share that Laura and Michael, our latest residents, are living happily in their forever homes!

Laura now resides at the Parsippany Group Home with housemates Diana, Felicia, and Sheleena. She is a huge fan of Michael Jackson and enjoys reading celebrity magazines, especially People and The Inquirer. Laura also likes to spend her mornings watching talk shows, including The View and Live with Kelly and Mark, on her big screen TV. She is also into eating healthy foods and she can often be found snacking on fruit.

Michael lives at the Morris Plains Group Home with housemates Jesse, Roberto, and Ted. He loves sports and has played basketball and softball in the Special Olympics. Michael watches WWE professional wrestling and football, rooting for the NY Giants and Kansas City Chiefs. He loves monster trucks and has attended every Monster Jam at the Meadowlands each year since he was 5 years old, except for during the pandemic. Michael enjoys a good party where he can flex his dancing and karaoke skills, especially singing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Michael is also a proud uncle to six nieces and nephews.

Would you like to see more community members with special needs find their forever homes? You can help! We’re currently fundraising for our capital campaign, a.k.a., the “Forever Home Project,” which will create housing for 12 individuals with special needs in an apartment complex. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution using the Donate button.
